Camille Sourget
Saturday, March 23

This copy of Monstrelet’s Chronicles describing the hundred years’ war printed on vellum skin and is richly illuminated. It most likely destined by the editor Antoine Vérard to the future king of France, Francis I, then prince of Angouleme. Vérard is represented in the first illumination kneeling and gifting his book to his royal recipient.

TEFAF spoke with Camille Sourget of @librairiecamillesourget, stand 703, on this masterpiece of French gothic prints.
